Spaghetti with a Kick
N/A

The flavor in this spaghetti sauce will bring you back to when your mom made homemade spaghetti. The herbs and seasonings make it a delightful experience for your friends and family. Oh My Garlic just adds a wonderful garlic flavor topped with a gentle heat to elevate your dish to another level!

Ingredients

2 lbs of ground meat (turkey, chicken, beef, Italian sausage)

1 large onion diced

1 green pepper diced

32oz crushed or diced tomatoes

32 oz tomato sauce

4-8 oz of water (varies based on cook time)

1 tbs Oh My Garlic crisp

1 tbs granulated garlic

1 tbs sweet basil

1 tbs oregano

1 tbs parsley

2 bay leaves

1 package of spaghetti or your favorite pasta

Salt and pepper

Instructions
  1. In a skillet or dutch oven, brown the ground meat along with the onion and green pepper. Add a couple of pinches of salt and pepper. You can omit the meat or reduce the quantity if you don't want a meaty sauce.
  2. If you fried the meat in a skillet, you can start the sauce in a dutch oven or thick bottom stock pot. Otherwise add the rest of the ingredients to the meat including some salt and pepper.
  3. The sauce can simmer for any where from a half hour to 4 hours on low on the stove. If you are cooking it only for a half hour you likely won't need to add any water. If you are going to cook it for longer than that I would add water to help keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pan and to keep it from getting to thick.
  4. Once the sauce has cooked for at least a half hour, give it a taste to see if you need to add any more salt or pepper. Once it is to your liking, add it to your favorite pasta with some garlic bread and some parmesan cheese.
